If you want a relationship because you want to find your special someone, then don't get a roommate. A roommate would make that process much more difficult. If you want a relationship because you feel lonely in your apartment/want someone around, then don't get a roommate and don't enter into a relationship. Instead, use this as a time to learn to be alone without feeling lonely. As a former property manager, I can say with confidence that 9 times out of 10 roommates are way more of a hassle and a problem than they are a benefit in any way. So if you can afford to live alone DO IT

Please make time to visit your family!!! Last minute I took my son, who is your age, on a long wkend, trip. ( yes, I'm your mom's age & probably have no business watching your channel, I'm here cuz u opened my eyes to Colleen, thank you by the way) ANYWAY, we went to visit my grandma, his great grandma, a couple states away & it was amazing. I invited my daughter but she was "too busy" (she wasn't, she was just mad at me) well, 2 months after our visit my grandma passed suddenly. When we were there she was healthy, active & very clear minded. They say COVID but...🤨 Either way, my daughter regrets it so horribly & beats herself up about it bad. Just trying to remind you that us old people 😉 don't have all the time in the world & that regret & quilt is THE WORST FEELING EVER!!! in regards to the roommate thing, you definitely shouldn’t jump into a relationship just for the purpose of living with someone because even living with friends (especially close ones) can be hard when you’re constantly surrounded by them. it’s definitely worth trying out having a roommate and you can also use that as a way to figure out your needs/expectations in a roommate. it’s also important to have a safe word (ex: pineapple) just to be able to express issues/wants/needs in a way that’s like “hey this is completely aside from our friendship with each other, just in a this is necessary to keep living together in peace kind of way”

about you having a room mate: since you said you want it to be someone you're close to maybe at 1st try living with 1 or both of your bothers to start out sometimes with sharing a house/flat (or apartment for those living in places that refers it to that) with someone you're close it can be hard because if something happens financially (like when 1 or both of you loses an income) it can cause you to lose a friendship

Let me just tell you adam i had a boyfriend who cheated on me i was with him online on discord for a year he told me he was 16 i was 13 at the time i think he was probably a pedo and i was to blind to know and met up with him on steam and it was super awkward and you know how animals are you're bestie more than humans well gizmo my guinea pig now passed away letter A wouldn't date me because he thought gizmo was just a ugly rat i put my foot down and ended everything and gizmo could sense that he was a jerk face he would chatter his teeth every time i would talk to A in voice chat tbh it feel like A just used me but any way i was super awkward on steam and then again he was super controlling he would verbally abuse me with his friend he would tell me not to eat chocolate he would control when I wore my jeans he would control how i wore my hair told me to dye my blond streaks brown after he verbally abused gizmo i put my foot down because gizmo is my baby

I don't have any advice, but this is how I feel. I lived alone for a few years and it was the best. I've lived with my boyfriend for the past five years. I am not a social person. As much as I enjoy his company I miss having my own space and my own life. I feel like if I ever had a roommate I would have been unhappy because I want my space to myself. There are days I don't want to share space with anything more lively than a fake house plant. This is nothing new. I have been told by family on many occasions that I haven't changed much since childhood.

I've lived in Manchester most of my life. It's an extremely lonely city. Everyone is focused on their goals and if you happen to align then great, but finding genuine connections here has taken me a lifetime
